Stoney Point Campground

Due to the fires, Stoney Point will be closing 7/28/08

Alternate campgrounds nearby include Tannery Gulch and Minersville

Situated on the northwest corner of the Stuart's Fork branch of Trinity Lake, Stoney Point is a tent only campground that offers fishing and a variety of watersports. This campground, because it has no R/V camping, is usually less crowded then most of the campgrounds in the area. Close to the mouth of the Stuart's fork, fishing for bass, trout, and catfish from the lake is excellent, and further trout fishing can be found on the Stuart's Fork of the Trinity river.
